      @fhoech yes we reported both of them. I do need to check on the profile leak also - we went from checking for profile changes frequently to once per day (so really, if you change your profile you need to restart f.lux).

      To change the colors for your device, open the “Settings” window and click the “Personalization” button in the middle of the screen.
      Click the “Colors” category at the left side of this window to view Windows 10 accent color settings in the area to the right.

      @herf
      im not sure what changed but it seems that the green tinge issue i was having is basically resolved or at least acceptable. I am now using checked "use display data for better accuracy" and am back to using 3400k

      currently running 4.66 (beta checked)

      thanks

      @ravanelli check out instructions here:
      https://justgetflux.com/faq.html#install

      Maybe you have a "f.lux profile" if f.lux was force quit.

      Might you like Pale Moon

      I couldn't get firefox to display FULL BLACK in youtube -- 16-235 I guess, maybe much brighter. Anyway, I didn't like the interface much either, and Palemoon looks great!

      Give it a go!

      I tried Pale Moon recently, but I had rendering problems on pages that I need to look at every day. I've tried them all. I used to prefer Pale Moon, but I faded away from it for some reason and today I'm glad that happened because I would have gone back to Firefox out of frustration anyway due to these rendering issues.

      So, thank you, but I'm all set.

      I see that the lifx lights support is still green, but it's a start!

      It would be interesting to be able to discover the available lights although it is not necessary.
      But it would be very nice to be able to decide to affect only some of the lights by name and not all as it happens now or even to indicate their group and how we want the effect of temperature control of the lights if instead of changing directly we want something softer using a scene that makes the transition over a longer period of time from one tone to another automatically and smoother, so f.lux would only have to launch a broadcast only once to the bulbs every day to have a perfect transition every time.

      @pattulus that's cool, I didn't know of that brand. I think I'll just try to find a similar one that I can get closer to me, instead of ordering from out of the country. I've actually wanted a few skylights, but they are very much a permanent installation, so it's usually not feasible for apartments and such.

      The f.lux interface is customizable for almost every schedule. In every version of f.lux available now, you can control your sunset light levels and color temperature. That doesn't mean it's immediately obvious, but it is possible. The criticism of not enough documentation is absolutely fair, and it's on the to-do list. Until it's available, post the timing you want and are having trouble with, someone will try to help you.

      Unfortunately, it goes beyond the scope of an internet forum to provide advice about treating medical conditions, and we've crossed into that territory in this thread. f.lux does not give medical advice.

      Before I close this thread, I want to direct you to CET, the Center for Environmental Therapeutics, which specializes in this area. They offer excellent research-based information for both clinicians and patients: https://www.cet.org/

      If it's not working at all, then I'm sorry but I don't know what to do.

      Well, you brought me luck anyway, it appears. I upgraded my graphic-card because of Payday2, and now it's perfectly working. Thank you for your help me with your comments, I appreciated it :)

      Very strange. What did you have before the upgrade - and what do you hav now?

      Ow, sorry! I didn't mean "upgrade", I meant "i downloaded the newest driver for my graphic-card". I hate technical language in english, so difficult for me to explain :'( forgive me :D
      I have an AMD Radeon 7700 HD.

      Interesting. Somehow, the previous driver was preventing f.lux from working! Wow.

      I have to say that @herf, you're a busy programmer, to have time to create multiple fixes for different windows builds, add interesting additions to the "outdoors" section of fluxometer and live your life. I don't think I can manage my time this well.

      @herf Moving sliders "physically works", meaning I can grab the temperature slider and move it back and forth, but there is no effect on the screen at all.

      I updated to the latest driver, 425.31, for now it seems Flux is working through a sleep (I didn't even restart between the driver update, and the following sleep). Will keep you posted!

      @TwoCables Yes, exactly! And generally (most, as with everything there are exceptions) people over the age of 65 don't need to worry as much about seeing too much bright light at night as they do about not seeing enough bright light during the day. Infants' lenses are nearly crystalline, they let every visible wavelength and some UV straight through. Then, teenagers are incredibly biologically sensitive to the affects of artificial light at night, and pre-teens even more so. But there are very real differences person to person. These are all active areas of research.

      The power saves feature on your computer automatically switches off the monitor when the computer hasn't been used for a set period of time, saving energy bills and preventing a condition known as "screen burn" that can permanently damage the monitor display.

      Late 2018 Macbook 15" here; tried the build 39.9871 and the defaults write ... commands posted above. It largely works, but there are brief periods (< 5 seconds) where black parts of the screen show as bright cyan / bright blue, and then revert back to black. If it helps, I have the Intel UHD Graphics 630 card on this mac.

      F.lux v4 has a range of 800K to 100,000K. Use Alt+Shit+Page Down and Up.

      Whoa, I knew about the shortcut, and going down more orange, but hadn't considered how blue I could go! Thanks for that, I'm now at 50,000K very nice tint.

      @f-lux-team Bug or limitation, I have two GPUs (one low power and another higher speed) with each a monitor connected. When I use the shortcut, it doesn't seem to be affecting the other GPU or the other monitor, however you'd like to think about it. Is this a difficult configuration to work with? I understand the program changes the color tables for A GPU, but what about more than one?

      I'm completely mistaken, it is pushed to both monitors, whoops. The blue is just not very pronounced as I thought it would be, maybe I'll kick up the saturation.
