Yes, please! I agree with this. I use Excel a lot (main reason I need f.lux) and alt+PgUp is the shortcut to scroll across spreadsheets.

So I have to click in f.lux, click Options and Smart Lighting, check the Hotkeys to On, adjust the brightness, then check Hotkeys to off. It's too many clicks!

Either the option of changing a Hotkey or a simple brightness slider would be brilliant. Thank you!

I used to say, it's okay for f.lux's wake time to be "wrong" - just set your f.lux time to the earliest time you wake up. But now with the "waking up" notifications we should do a little better, or I guess you should turn them off until we do (options > backwards alarm clock).

Unless you're doing shift work, most people actually don't want to move their circadian timing around, they just want to sleep a little later some days. (Your internal clock takes weeks to adjust, so it's hard to mess with--but the main thing it responds to is changes in light timing.)

Do you stay up a lot later on your late days, or just sleep in later?

I just signed up to request this and saw this post.

AppleScript support would allow for enabling and disabling f.lux ie. with a Harmony Remote (automation).

I'd like to have manual control over disabling and enabling the f.lux effect when watching TV/Movies at night.

      Thanks
