Agree having the option to invoke Dark Room Mode at a user-defined time would be great. What if the user could set a time for the switch-over, and there was a notification box that pops up several minutes beforehand. (similar to the warning box you see if the computer is set to sleep at a certain time.) There could be an option to switch immediately, cancel, snooze, etc.

definitely agree that this could be given a better name as I came to this page looking for exactly the same information. It should also be disabled by default because its incredibly annoying

I think you are right. I think this wasn't flux, but a backup program I had running. I thought it was flux because it is the newest software on my machine. There must be an issue with an update to the backup software... Thanks for that other link too.

same problem here.
i m using dark mode in yosemite. Each time i launch f.lux, it changes it to light mode.
i tried to fully uninstall f.lux then reinstall with no luck. Any adea ?

Yeah we should probably put a note about it on this screen, because it is really "9:00 AM, but 10:00 AM on weekends"

If you quit the app it is supposed to stay quit! I have not heard this one before.
Any clues about what you might have that is different or unusual? Are you scripting things or using an app launcher?

Thanks - we have tried to do this previously, but couldn't get the automatic updater to work that well.

This is normal with today's monitors. It's just the way they are. It doesn't have anything to do with software like f.lux. Stand up once and look at your monitor from that higher height and then crouch down and look at it. You'll see what i mean.
