F.lux keeps restarting - even if I "quit" the app.

If you quit the app it is supposed to stay quit! I have not heard this one before.
Any clues about what you might have that is different or unusual? Are you scripting things or using an app launcher?

What happens if you force quit "Flux" in Activity Monitor?

We have a page for this: https://justgetflux.com/map.html

Please post your system config too - this should be working on almost all Macs.

Thanks - we have tried to do this previously, but couldn't get the automatic updater to work that well.

This is normal with today's monitors. It's just the way they are. It doesn't have anything to do with software like f.lux. Stand up once and look at your monitor from that higher height and then crouch down and look at it. You'll see what i mean.

Try entering coordinates in the box if it's not working with your system, you can get them at: https://justgetflux.com/map.html

      Thank you, Lorna.

I am not using any external monitors. For hardware, I am using an iMac (27", late 2013).

      Thanks again.

Thanks for your note! This is a tricky use case (for the sometimes early birds). If you're seeing a bright screen first thing in the morning, you can push your sleep timing earlier, so we are trying hard to get it right.

You want to wake up and use f.lux in daytime mode before the sun rises (and before your normal wake time), have I got it right?

Closing this thread, this issue is reported in a couple other active threads, one at: https://justgetflux.com/forum/topic/213/fullscreen-youtube-colour-artefacting. And - thanks for the info, we've reported the bug to the right people and hopefully it will be fixed in the future.

@auntialias hey hi! Deleted my earlier incorrect response - 10.8.5 doesn't listen to us when we clear the notifications so this is a bug that's here to stay. You can turn off the notifications from the f.lux menu (just uncheck backwards alarm clock). Sorry for not having better news.

    • I

How do I disable the pop-up notifications?

The ones before bed? It's like this: Open the f.lux settings menu (to the left of your system clock), then under options, just uncheck "Backwards Alarm Clock" and if you'd ever want to use them again, re-selecting it will re-enable them.

@lilaweiss it will appear about 9 hours before your wake time, and give you a little alert every half hour (it's a system notifier, so it won't appear on all older versions of the Mac OS)
