When you move the slider all the way to the right, it turns off this part of the schedule. We did this for people who really like sunrise to sunset only.

All you have to do to fix it is to choose any other slider point in bedtime mode (or pick a preset other than "Classic f.lux")

This is a macOS feature, and we just turn it on.
Newer apps will switch.

There is "dim on disable" which may help...

@herf I'm running Windows 7. The program interface did change about a month or so ago. At first I would try to open f.lux and it would be behind all of the windows. Then it (in its original form) didn't appear at all..Then I noticed there was an f.lux icon in the bottom right hand of the task bar beside the clock. But that now opens a really large interface with useless information. Why couldn't it just stay the way it was? And yes, I will adjust that annoying thing that assumes I'm a complete moron who doesn't know what time to get up.

We have a small minority of our users (<<1%) who try to avoid all blue light due to headaches or other reasons.

We don't think this is a good idea for most people (as explained in my 2015 post), so this is a rather hidden feature for those people to get more extreme settings during the day. By default, we limit the range.

But right now we don't know of a way to make a white screen any brighter.

Is there a way to fix this problem as it relates to videos played from iTunes? I figured out the Chrome fix, but it still happens in iTunes unless I disable f.lux.

Yes I would look in the TV/monitor settings next.
If the color profile is reset and f.lux isn't running, there isn't much more to do on our end.
