Is there a way to fix this problem as it relates to videos played from iTunes? I figured out the Chrome fix, but it still happens in iTunes unless I disable f.lux.

Yes I would look in the TV/monitor settings next.
If the color profile is reset and f.lux isn't running, there isn't much more to do on our end.

You can fake your Location in f.lux to force f.lux between night and day modes, and you can fake your wake up time as well to move f.lux between bedtime and awake mode. That way, you can quickly change all 3 settings.

This is happening to me. Running Flux 39.983 on MacOS 10.12.6. Nightshift schedule set to "Off".

Screen darkens seemingly randomly even when Flux is stopped. If I turn Flux on and then Quit it, the screen brightens again for a few minutes, then darkens.

rebooting didn't help.

i reinstalled and it appears to be working normally now

@nwalford That's how I did it. All there is in the preferences on my Linux version is latitude / longitude and 6 colour choices, can't automate colour changes over time of day etc. It's either on or off, so I found a place that suited what I wanted on the location setter and set it to that. I do like it, very restful on the eyes.
