While using flux on my macOS I also felt the same issue. I felt the issue in flux and iTunes together in my case. I thought it was because of iTunes sync error 54. After fixing that I got to know it was a system error. To fix the flux issue click start > type control panel > control panel > programas and features > select flux > update it
