Yes, it works. If f.lux is just faster then the network, maybe there should be a delay you can set, and maybe a number of retries before it gives up.

That's the problem, I think. Every user has a different setup, so more configurable options are needed to suit everyone.

No. I am talking about the response time. The refresh rate is separate and completely different and unrelated to the response time. That's why I am talking about values like "1ms" and "2ms". If I were talking about the refresh rate, then I would've been talking about values measured in Hz.

Changing the refresh rate is not going to make any difference - or at least it shouldn't.

So again, find out how to adjust the response time (if it's even possible) of your 60 Hz monitor. You are probably using the highest possible response time right now. I am speaking from experience here.

Because you asked: antivirus programs pull our EXE our of the installer but don't run the installer so all the UI resources are missing. This was crashing, and we had like 15 of them submit the crash log to us. (Almost no other crashes, so I fixed that one.)

If you're trying to access it through the start menu, try the tray icon instead.

@becritical f.lux uses a more reliable method for changing colors after you do that, yep.

Is there a way to change the browser it uses in using google maps?

First, click on the text that says "Location" and it will show a menu.
Then, you can type in the name of a place, or if you're in the USA, type in your zipcode.

I'm sorry, but are you serious? It's "miles and miles"? It's just a simple process of opening the f.lux menu, hovering over "Disable", and then choosing "For an hour". What's so hard about that?

Oh noes, it's 1 more mouse click than before! Oh man, you might strain yourself.

You also have to realize that there are many more options for disabling f.lux now, so it only makes sense to have the 'for an hour' option in the menu along with all the new options for disabling f.lux. What sense would it make to have it be somewhere else? It's called "categorizing".

Additionally, there is an added keyboard shortcut that avoids miles of steps and even clicks of any kind: "[Alt]+[End]"

The window will open if you double-click the icon in the Notification Area, or if you right-click it and choose "f.lux color and schedule".

Yeah, tried both of those but the window wouldn't show up even after the icon appeared blinking on the taskbar. It must've been a glitch, I guess. As said, a restart fixed the issue. In hindsight, it's kind of embarrassing that it didn't occur to me to restart the app before posting here.

@reversethepolarity Update: Apparently it thought I was located in Spain??? I manually fixed the location and everything's cool now.
