@homeb Need more info, is your device "rooted" meaning you have true full access to basically everything? If not, you will not have access to the warmer colors with f.lux.

If you'd like to root, search the "XDA" forums about it. They are very trustworthy.

@aybld just change either slider color and it should update. If not, then that means f.lux is not yet updated to support the new bridge update.

I would like to command flux on windows.

      for example run flux.exe /Fluorescent
and it will adjust the temperature of the running instance

Sometimes I stay late at night with neon light on and the monitor is too warm an dark. I would like to connect my home automation system to flux...so if neon light is on I can send command to change mode

also polling status might be helpful

This feature request should be easy to implement on your side

I haven't had a chance to experiment with the bulbs, but you can program each individual bulb separately or all of them together as a group. Remember, though, all the bulbs that come with the more expensive starter kit are color bulbs. None of them are just white. In other words, they're called white and color because each individual bulb is capable of producing white light or color light.

Now to answer your question, it is possible to program one bulb to be the color of "cool white" and another bulb the color of "warm yellow" and compare the two at the same time, but I think your question would best be answered by Philips directly. They know more about their product than I do and I wouldn't want to steer you incorrectly based on my opinion of what does a better job. Here's a link to their contact page: http://www2.meethue.com/en-us/support/contact/ Send them an email and see what they say.

      Best.

@spammiwysylaja It does depend on sun, but also it's based on when you wake up. When f.lux thinks you're waking up, it will change your screen to daylight, and it also uses this information to decide about what time you should probably be sleeping.

Have a look at this BBC article, it's about two phase sleeping patterns before we used lots of artificial light at night: http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-16964783

@wheelzofsteel Well you could go in and adjust the RGB settings, or try using the warmest color temperature available if it actually makes a real difference. To get to the RGB settings of a TV, you'll probably have to go into service mode, so look up your TV model and find the steps to get into service mode.

For my TV, I go to menu and go to the audio tab, and put in a four digit code. Then I open the input menu and put in a four digit code there! Yes it's not simple so go find out how to do it!

I had already been using Tranquility Reader before Firefox incorporated Pocket Reader into their browser. I quite liked that there was no cloud service or subscription or anything behind it. Just simple styling and offline reading ability. If you want syncing to mobile devices or other computers, best look elsewhere.
