      @dewlicker420
      re-install.
      make sue the beta option is checked on the about page.
      make sure update automagically is checked on the options screen.
      make sure use display data is unchecked on the options screen.
      restart. go into flux and check about page (if it says any number below 4.66 wait 20 minutes and restart again)
      then set current color to 6500k
      then disable until sunrise
      then exit flux
      then uninstall from Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features
      then restart.

      if colors are still a problem goto color management, advanced tab, reload current calibrations
      for good measure click change system defaults then advanced tab, reload current calibrations (this is separate)

      restart

      if the above does not work reload windows (every other troubleshooting step is reliant on 3rd party software or more advanced)
      the likelihood is other software was to blame
      further troubleshooting advice below

      turn pointer trails on and move slider to one of middle settings
      restart
      turn pointer trails off
      restart (if fixed stop)
      reset ddc (http://www.clickmonitorddc.bplaced.net/)
      restart (if fixed stop)
      reset active lut table (https://www.xrite.com/service-support/downloads/c/calibration-lut-tester)
      remove active profiles (user and system default)
      instate srgb for both as default
      restart
      remove srgb

      if you still have an issue reload windows

      this is a complete list of what i would do
      no guarantee of anything but besides reloading windows none of these steps are destructive

      @herf please release a standalone f.lux removal tool

      @herf
      im not sure what changed but it seems that the green tinge issue i was having is basically resolved or at least acceptable. I am now using checked "use display data for better accuracy" and am back to using 3400k

      currently running 4.66 (beta checked)

      thanks

      I unistalled it. I don't mind blue light anymore. The warm tone is annoying, and as I upgraded to windows 8.1 a few weeks ago, I don't see any purpose.

      Me too. I get it set up with the colors the way I want them. I close the app, the standard colors come back. I hover over a link on a webpage, the flux colors come back. I move the mouse away, the standard colors come back. I'm going to downgrade to v3 until this gets fixed.

      f.lux removes blue light from your computer display at night. f.lux isn't intended to prevent or heal vision loss. It's a good thing to pay attention to though, an eye doctor could probably help you with some good suggestions.
