@onotole f.lux actually modifies this setting for activation at sunset. Then I assume it sets the "dark theme" back to unchecked, once sunrise happens. It's probably enabled by default in f.lux, so look in the settings there first.
I fixed the problem on my machine. I opened up the flux preferences .plist file and removed the name of the profile listed, then restarted flux. It now correctly loads the profile I have selected.
Interestingly, the profile flux kept loading was one with a long UUID tag (if that is the correct term for it) in the name.
nope, I don't see any issues with color, just thought it would be cool to have different wake-up settings, but that's a good idea with just enjoying the extra hour
@tdogzthmn I really don't like "white" leds because they are purplish in tone. Anyway Apple would have to use color changing leds so you'll have to get a different keyboard and turn off the backlight on the built in keyboard to achieve the effect.
We install a system profile every time we make a "major" change, to ensure your dual GPU mac can switch video cards without it being noticeable. Some apps also listen to this change and try to update their UI.
Since it sounds like Java is doing something very expensive, I recommend you disable our profile writer, using the prefs on this page ("disableProfile"):
