@herf Working good so far! It would be great if f.lux could make Notification Center dark as well (a function that Apple decided to disable this in Sierra)

After following this thread, I went to Settings > Displays > Automatically adjust brightness and disabled that feature. So far so good after 15m.

@auctoris Dimming is already a feature... alt + page up.

@herf @lorna Hey! So i downloaded the app but I'm on a 13-inch 2016 MBP without touch bar. I'm getting a message that says I have only 1 GPU so it can't do its thing. The system restarts randomly only when Safari is open and f.lux is running. I looked for a pattern but there really isn't one. I've been using Chrome for the past couple of days and haven't had any issue. My uneducated guess would be that there exists some disconnect between Safari and f.lux. Any assistance would be more than welcome.

The machine specs are: MBP 2016 without Touch Bar; Mac OS Sierra 10.12.2 beta.

@yawpstang64 Oh, that would make a hell of a lot more sense with the full color smiley faces etc. Sorry about that! I hope the function is opened up to match display settings too.

Same thing here. Running on MacBook Pro with El Capitan. No icon visible in the menu bar, and when I click on the app itself in the directory, nothing happens. When I tried to open another copy, I got a notice that the first copy was running. I can't interact with it at all.

I wish F.lux didn’t just assume the user wants X amount of sleep. In other words, how about just allowing the user to set start and end times manually? I don’t necessarily want f.lux to dim at 5:30pm just because that’s when the sun sets in the winter, and I don’t want to have to monkey around with the “time I wake up” just to control when it un-dims.

@herf Cool, thanks. Turning them off in System Preferences sounds like the best option for me as I will be aware why Flux isn't working in certain applications. Fully understand the dilemma for you guys though!
