I had this issue too, unfortunately you cannot set your own sunset, or even better would be just pick times when you want the brightness to change! Only 3 changes would be fine like we have currently, but more would be great.

Anyways, I found a workaround that works for me. I have sensitive eyes so I like it to start getting dimmer as it is getting dark but not yet "sunset" and then even dimmer later.

I achieved this by setting the Bedtime color to be the highest at 5000K, then the Sunset to be "Incandescent" and the Daytime to be 3300K. Then I set my earliest wakeup time to 7:00 PM. By doing this I was able to adjust the graphs to something that works for me. You can set a slider to be higher than the slider above it by holding Control while you move it.

Just play around with it and I am sure you can find a setting that works for you!

@herf said in Flux makes the screen more red while watching video on full-screen mode:

I suspect f.lux has detected that your machine has two GPUs and is trying to handle the switch between them using a modified color profile. I haven't seen this bug before, but macOS seems to be double-loading the profile sometimes.

The first thing to try is to disable our profile writer using the instructions here:
      https://justgetflux.com/news/2014/10/28/profile.html

Do the "disableProfile" command and delete any f.lux profiles from your color settings.

      Also which Mac is it?

      MacBook Pro 13 2015 Retina; 2,7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core ; 8 i5; 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

      I don't have two GPU :)

There is a picture of the f.lux icon on this page:

If all else fails, you can also end the process from Activity Monitor.

We posted a build (41.2) with a change to the way we sign the app. Seems to be working on 10.10.

You may consider a menu bar manager, I'm using Bartender.
On MacMenuBar.com there are a lot of menu bar managers.
With this tools you can hide menu bar items.
Usually these items are still accessible with a single click or keyboard shortcut.

Bartender 3 is for macOS Catalina, Mojave, High Sierra and Sierra.
Bartender 4 is for macOS Big Sur.

Not so brilliant if it doesn't include a basic feature that has been requested for years and years. I'm pretty sure the developer just wants us to bugger off, and no, you won't be seeing manual buttons anytime soon. Probably never.

There's other choices out there now, mostly because people have encountered so many limitations with f.lux and decided to write their own.

Hello! I use the Sofa app to control my laptop remotely. I tried using the Sofa app without F.Luxe. I can change the brightness of my laptop monitor remotely using my phone. If I start F.Lux, then when adjusting the brightness of the monitor remotely, the brightness is constantly reset to the value that is set using the buttons on the laptop. How can I turn off F. Lux's effect on monitor brightness? How to make the Sofa application have a higher priority in controlling the brightness of the monitor than F.Lux? I love F. Lux. But it annoys me that F.Lux does not allow other applications to change the brightness of the monitor. Thanks! Best wishes, Alexey.
