Random red flashes across screen

I get random red flashes across the screen, about a third of the way from the top of my MacBook screen, unprompted and not periodically.
I don't have this problem when I don't have flux turned on. -
Hi @kahoot - can you say which MacBook, which OS, which f.lux version?

hi, i have the same problem, but to me the red dots and flashes are tremendous and periodically. I have a new asus zenbook flip s. Can you fix it?
