      @herf It seems to work on my system. VLC<>other back-and-forth works, and transitions are now smooth again. Thank you for the fast bug fix!

      Yes, exactly. It would just make it easier to make an adjustment if I'm realizing that my screen is getting darker but for that particular moment I'll be working late.

      Hi Guys is there anyway to start the f.lux an hour or so before sunset? I go to bed at sunset so i need the blue block an hour before at least.?

      @MrDean76 just go to preferences and set your wake time and it should automatically darken at the right time

      You should reboot. We did not make the new automatic brightness system in mac OS, but rebooting seems to reset it.

      Also, the new 37.5 build on our site is more persistent about "fixing" broken profiles than before, so if you want to try that one, it could help.

      You will probably have to disable automatic brightness in system preferences > displays if you want to use darkroom.

      Yes this is extremely strange - will keep an eye on it.
      The only recent 'major' change is a new version of the Sparkle updater, but this shouldn't cause anything like this.

      Is there any chance at all you disabled "for current app" in f.lux?
      If so, the f.lux menu will have a checkbox under "Disable" that you can check.

      Otherwise, please post which kind of Mac you have.

      Im having issues with how f.lux handles dark mode; But I think it more has to do with us using a beta version of the OS rather than the app itself, because flux on El Capitan is working perfectly for me. What I would is that, when I toggle on dark menu from preferences > general, the menubar becomes dark but the dock and menulets stay the same (light mode). When flux handles this process during the day-night transition, menubar remains light but everything else changes. I just need to enter pref > ten and toggle dark menu manually. I installed a CLI dark-mode to troubleshoot and found that when the pref > gen toggle is used, the system remains registered as light

      $ dark-mode --mode
      Light

      And I can enter original dark mode through

      $ dark-mode --dark

      It is kind of frustrating but that's what we get for using a beta OS until all the bugs are fixed. But this is under the assumption that the dark menu bar setting was already broken / incomplete in Sierra (didn't test the toggle before installing flux)

      What version are you using on Mac OS? Maybe you need an update? You can set your wake time and many custom hours.

      We don't offer customizable hours in the way you're requesting, because the nightly melatonin cycle is long and interrupted by bright light. Dimming screens and house lights starting a couple of hours before your normal sleep time is generally recommended.

      I have the same exact hardware and am experiencing the same problem. It seemed like it didn't start doing it until several weeks ago, so I'm not sure if there was an update to Flux that started causing it or what.

      Ok, so given all that has been said above, it is now 07:51 local time and Flux just kicked in (being scheduled for between 21:00-06:00). I'm going to uninstall it and re-install it. Such a waste of time!
