This is caused by Microsoft Night Light (it's not a problem with f.lux). Disable Night Light.

It is linked with a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to HDMI Adapter on a Surface Pro (2017) if that helps at all.

Any visit to our site in your browser will set that cookie - removing it once doesn't block it forever.

For privacy, we try not to set any cookies for any in-app usage, like automatic updates or maps.

Nevertheless, even 1900K can be 100% "safe" and 100% non-alerting if you are using a very low display brightness. That's why it's the lowest color temperature by default.

Yes it conflicts with that - you can also download 4.78 and it will usually help you turn it off.

I agree, @ Flux team, please have this feature available on upcoming versions, i always have to click this mode manually on windows startup which is annoying everyday.

Generally we advise updating drivers to something more current.

@fluxteam please add a warning to people to disable Night Light in Windows. You have no idea since how long this was making me hate Flux just to find out it's a simple incompatibility between two software, not a bug in this one. A message to the user would fix it for everybody.

You should go to  System Preferences — Screen, and turn off all Night Shift options.

After that, make sure you download the latest version of f.lux.
