      Suggestion: Persist "Disable" settings when app restarts.

      Why is there a limit on the amount of redness that f.lux can produce?

      What's the difference between red and amber? Does red cut the blue light even more? If so I will use it.

      I'm always maxed at 1900K candle. The red looks pretty HAL-ish lol. People always stare at my computer lol

      After looking the official app and other programs use a SSDP service that is UPnP based which works fine. The official Phillips one is closed on a private cloud which requires a unique device authentication hash, so no go with that method on my end. Bummer.

      @siltsunrise said in Settings help:

      @twocables Damn, sometimes I have 2 sliders, sometimes 3, depending on what I set in that upper right dropdown menu. Could you guys make this a little more complicated, please? I have nothing better to do than get headaches over this instead of doing my work.

      The only time you get 2 sliders is when you choose 'Classic F.lux'. It's the old style from F.lux v3. In v4, they added Bedtime, which is the 3rd slider. That's why when you choose 'Classic F.lux', you see a new menu item named "Classic F.lux" with check next to it to indicate that it's enabled. That's also why it goes away when you choose anything else.

      So, it's not complicated at all.

      @twocables He's right, it's still doing 150 at a time. Devs, this involves changing one number in your code. Is that so hard?

      This is caused by Microsoft Night Light (it's not a problem with f.lux). Disable Night Light.

      It is linked with a Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to HDMI Adapter on a Surface Pro (2017) if that helps at all.

      I do not see green.

      green wavelength exposure (not only blue) suppresses melatonin.

      Oh, you wanted to block green. I see now. I'm very happy to help!

      Nevertheless, even 1900K can be 100% "safe" and 100% non-alerting if you are using a very low display brightness. That's why it's the lowest color temperature by default.

      Suggestion: separate transition times for disabled apps (video player).

      Yes it conflicts with that - you can also download 4.78 and it will usually help you turn it off.
