We don't use any Java in the client software and also none in our online services.

I've tried to upload a pic of the driver setttings using three different browsers but the forum software fires an error in all cases.

The profile was valid. So the only thing I know is to restart f.lux after changing the system profile.

(We used to look for changes automatically but this made for a pretty scary memory leak in Windows for a while, so we stopped doing it.)

You did what you needed to do.

The reason why all 3 don't move together is simple: that settings panel is for being able to adjust all 3 of the colors in one place. It's giving you the ability to adjust any of the 3. Your confusion comes from the fact that you went into that panel with the goal of adjusting all 3 to the same color.

This sounds like a video driver that is doing too much work. It has been a while but older Radeon drivers did something like this.

Can you post f.lux options > driver info? And perhaps try updating the drivers also.

Thanks a lot, just tried it with the Win32 application and this one works with dark mode.

I still prefer the Windows Store version by far, since it's running in a sandbox which makes it more secure in my eyes. It also doesn't add registry entries to the system.

Will the app store version get completely removed or could you further elaborate what you mean with "a new system that will replace the MS Store"?

not using GPU gets rid of the very dark red, but the Ember color stays same

The suggestion is to set location to elsewhere; Is there a list somewhere with an easy to use - setting my days to "normal" ?
Normal being 7:30 Sunshine, 22:30 Sundown?

Choose "Classic f.lux" from the color selection menu in the f.lux window. Set the color to 1200K. Or, you can also set it to 800K using the keyboard shortcuts, which you can enable if they're not enabled by going into the f.lux options and turning on "Use these hotkeys to control f.lux". Change your location to somewhere in the world where the sun has already set or risen so that it's opposite you. So, if you're doing this at a time between sunrise and sunset, choose a location that's between sunset and sunrise. Change the color temperature to 1200K (or, again, you can try 800K as well).

Now it no longer matters what your location is set to or what time of day it is because this sets f.lux to the exact same color temperature for both day and night, which means it will never change on you ever again - unless, of course, you change it again.
