OK, it seems that flux is now holding control over the brightness instead of windows. I had to enable the F9 through F12 option in the screenshot below, because alt+pgUp etc.. was not working for me.
Now I can control the brightness with alt + F11 and alt + F12.

      Hope that helps 0_1564779524135_8ae338b8-485b-4c40-a8e9-f08e94c06ade-image.png

@lilyofthevalley no, f.lux is very good at loading spyder profiles. You just shouldn't have two programs doing the same thing.

same problem, I like to use f.lux with pleasure but lately I have apparently done something wrong.
The image dims as I want, but when I open a new page, I have a white image again which dims after a while.
What should I set to prevent that and it just dims in the evening and stays dimmed?

It appears the sandbox for store apps makes use of junctions, so the disk space used is much lower than it may initally appear. Even in the first screenshot of the thread, the actual allocated filesize on disk for "2.5 GB" of binaries is only 60 KB

This can be validated by checking the localcache folder size in explorer:

      0_1563110062883_5d2fe997-6bd9-4aa5-9a18-5978d6b007ca-image.png

or by running "dir /al /s" from a cmd window in the localcache folder.

      0_1563110491210_e8b6f552-b86f-4a07-8ebc-fbe794e40963-image.png

Note the parenthesis around the filesize, which represent a junction of some sort.

I thought that option was about the colours, too. That solved it, of course.

@herf said in F.lux does not work suddenly:

AMD lists RX 560X as a laptop GPU - do you know if the second GPU is discrete (or vice-versa)? Maybe you can post what kind of machine this is, if there's any GPU/eGPU, & that might help.

The Windows color system is shifting around a lot -- HDR and 10-bit color, so I imagine we are seeing one case or another fail, but it is hard to see.

Also, it's possible that you could try "driver rollback" from the 2019/05/22 driver, and see if an earlier driver version works.

This is is laptop with rx560x as dedicated graphics and ryzen 2500u with vega 8 graphics

Usually this is due to video drivers - try updating drivers, or post f.lux options > driver info here.
