Agree this is a critical feature. The whole point of f.lux is to prevent bright, blue light late in the day, but that's entirely defeated, and then some, when switching out of a game or a full-screen video and having a browser or other app suddenly blast a blinding white light. I set it to the gaming transition mode, which mostly helped (though still sometimes it would take a split second or so to react, so not perfect), but then it goes from full brightness to dim and orange suddenly mid-evening, which is also not ideal. I love f.lux, but this issue definitely makes it more difficult to use which also makes it a bit harder to recommend to people.

I also would like to be able to change keyboard shortcuts. Alt + PgDn / PgUp is used by other applications too.

@herf In the title bar of the window, it appears as "Disco Elysium", but in the disable menu it appears as just "disco". Likewise, discord includes channel and server name in the title (at least in the task bar), but appears as just "Discord" in the disable menu.

Checking "when using disco" also disables flux when using discord, and the popup reads "f.lux is disabled for Discord".

Reviving this thread as I have seen multiple users needing this feature.
Is this possible with the current version of the software? If not, any plan to implement it in future updates?

Is there an app that isn't showing up? Wondering what you are hoping to do? We previously used EXE names, but we had to switch to window titles because all managed apps use the same EXE The registry entry for this preference is HKCU/Software/Michael Herf/flux/Preferences/disabled - you can modify it and it might work!

@SandreS it was one time during setup and it also can use Windows location services. But once we know your location within a minute, we can tell you if the sun is overhead at noon - or not!

The trouble is - if you read for a while through our support requests, you will find "f.lux is disabling when I run Chrome and I don't know why" is probably our #1 issue.... which is why we try to tell you about it.

@ChairmanSaab so yes we speed up "disable" considerably, but it is under a second. These changes are really hard to adapt to in any case which is why we do the animation. but I can imagine the faster animation doesn't help that much either.

I noticed recently that f.lux can adjust brightness.
Try Alt-PgDn(Up).
Of course, I would love it automatic too...

I stumbled upon this thread and noticed that it's quite old. Nonetheless, I'll try to help out with your issue.
Have you tried updating your NVIDIA drivers to the latest version? That may solve the problem you're experiencing with the ""disable for fullscreen apps"" option. Additionally, you may want to check if there are any updates available for your monitor's drivers.
