How does f.lux know when solar time is for my location?

I presume that solar time will be different for different locations.
If I'm correct about it, then how does f.lux know my location in order to determine my solar time?

@SandreS it was one time during setup and it also can use Windows location services. But once we know your location within a minute, we can tell you if the sun is overhead at noon - or not!
