I have a similar issue too. I put my computer (3 monitors) in sleep mode when I go to sleep at night and when I wake it up the f.lux colors are not active on all my screens. After a few seconds on the windows unlock screen the tinting comes back only on that screen. In summary:

Computer goes to sleep with f.lux active at night. Just after waking up (f.lux shouldn't be active at this time) everything seem to go fine and the tint is not there on any screen. After one or two seconds, f.lux seems to reactivate only on the screen displaying the windows unlock prompt. F.lux remains that way and only restarting f.lux restores everything to normal.

The issue started I would say about a month and a half ago after a Windows update if I recall correctly.

      Here is my Driver Info:

      Hello,

Thanks for the clarification. So, I guess I was a little confused. In this case, the problem is that it's not changing the Default App Mode back to Light at sunrise. Is that on the roadmap?

      Best regards,

      Steve

Well, after 2 nights all is good. It appears that having Windows Night Light enabled caused the problem. Since disabling this option, all f.lux works as it should. Thanks for the help.

Do you mean "disable" when you say remove, or did you uninstall it?

There are several things that try to do what f.lux does, including one built into Windows. So you might try finding those also.

Hi Jaap - what files are you seeing? Usually if you aren't using the interface it should be pretty quiet.

Our "disable per app" feature might read from disk to understand the names of an app.

+1 on automatic brightness. I use both screens (laptop + 32" 4K display on external GPU) at maximum brightness during the day and minimum brightness during the evening. I am really tired of adjusting it every evening and morning. External monitor also gives an extra difficulty, as it does not listen to any hotkeys.
So to solve this simple issue I currently have another app installed - Monitorian (from MS store). It kind of solves the issue, but requires too much of my attention (is finnicky when plugging the external GPU in and out).
So it would be great to add this feature to f.lux, THEN it would be the ultimate solution.

Yes, please! I agree with this. I use Excel a lot (main reason I need f.lux) and alt+PgUp is the shortcut to scroll across spreadsheets.

So I have to click in f.lux, click Options and Smart Lighting, check the Hotkeys to On, adjust the brightness, then check Hotkeys to off. It's too many clicks!

Either the option of changing a Hotkey or a simple brightness slider would be brilliant. Thank you!
