flux unloading - win10

If I start my pc (or reboot it) f-lux stays nicely in the bottom right hand corner, however after some indeterminate time it seems to unload from there and to make changes I have to type on "f-lux" from the start button and it duly runs again, but on completion does not go into the "show hidden icons" section bottom rhs of the screen.
Re-installation doesn't help, it has to be a rebooting of the PC.
Any help gratefully received.

@terryd hi terry - this could be a lot of things, but the simple possibility is that f.lux could be crashing for some reason.
We made a major effort to remove our (rare) crash bugs in the latest beta, which I would recommend joining to see if it helps:

If this doesn't help, post back with f.lux options > driver info
