f.lux flashes on then off after screen sleep
-
My screen turns off after a minute of inactivity to save battery. After I upgraded to windows 10, when I move my mouse to resume activity, the screen flashes it's non f.lux blinding white light at me, uses f.lux colors momentarily and then goes back to blinding white light. To resume f.lux colors, I have to click on the f.lux icon in the bottom right (part of the taskbar). Is there an update to fix this bug?
I just checked and my other (windows 10) laptop exhibits a similar (but less devastating) bug in which (after resuming activity from the screen falling asleep) the screen flashes white non-f.lux light before resuming f.lux. However, it does not exit f.lux

Sounds like this may be similar or related to an issue myself and others are having upon startup: https://forum.justgetflux.com/topic/4587/f-lux-disables-then-enables-after-startup
So far, no resolution, but similarly, we are experiencing the non f.lux colors upon startup which can only be resolved by hovering or clicking on the f.lux taskbar icon. -
This is better for most people if you expand the color range:

@herf Hmm, I fail to see how your link has any relevancy to the bug report :-/?
I'm on a i5-8250u using the iGPU and I experience the same as OP.
I think the same bug is basically reported here, here and here.
I'm using the latest Intel driver Lenovo has released for my card, i.e. 25.20.100.6471 (10-12-2018). In the settings I've got "use display data" and "use GPU" enabled but with em disabled it's the same deal. My flux version is 4.97 (beta)
Lightbulb does not have this issue but I prefer flux so I would love having this addressed if possible.
