Aw, thank you for your thoughtfulness, but I'm not looking for any or asking for any recommendations. ;) I'm only interested in red LED lights right now. Fortunately, I think my fear of FEIT as being a crappy low-quality manufacturer is being washed away by this experience so far. Even these cheap little 1W red LEDs made by Westinghouse are nice. They're a bit too dim, but fortunately they're just bright enough for what I will be using them for - at least after sunset (they're not bright enough to use during the day unless I can block 100% of the day light). If you're wondering, here's how it will go down when I'm at the last couple hours of my day:

Turn my SWITCH 3-ways to their lowest setting so that they can cool off while still providing plenty of light. Of course, this also helps me begin relaxing.

After about 30 minutes, they are usually cool enough to handle without being burned (they're still hot though). So this is when I will replace both SWITCH 3-ways with my red FEIT LED lights. Before anyone says that LED bulbs don't get hot, YES THEY DO. They just take like 15 minutes to heat up.

I'll sit here with those on for 1-2 hours, and at some point I will also choose 1200K in f.lux and dim my monitor all the way down. I'll also press Alt+Page Down just once because this helps reduce the washed-out appearance that I get (you might not see this on your monitor, I don't know).

After maybe 45 minutes to an hour or whatever feels right that day with my red FEITs and f.lux at 1200K and all that, I'll reach a point where I'll decide that it's time to turn the computer off "soon" and go to bed. So, I'll take my melatonin when I know I'll still be using the computer for another 15 or 20 minutes.

After 15 or 20 minutes, I'll turn the computer off, replace the FEITs with the Westinghouse 1W LEDs and begin getting ready for bed. This can take 5-15 minutes and I want my light to be even dimmer during this period and fortunately, these little lights are like red night lights. They're freakin' awesome for me. Menards has discontinued them though, so I hope they last. I might go buy a half a dozen more or so just in case. My local store still has 27 in stock and they're all a bit dusty, so yeah. lol
Even before buying these little Westinghouse LED lights, just going from having both of my FEITs on down to just one wasn't bad at all. It's a bit too bright when I have to go up to the lamp to turn it off, but still.
My only problem with this plan is, these Westinghouse lights are tiny and they go in a normal socket. So, I have this fear of being electrocuted if I'm not careful. lol With a normal-sized bulb like A19 or bigger, my hands are much further away from the socket thanks to the bigger size. These Westinghouse 'bulbs' are like little stubs.

The problem that this person experienced is a new one to me though! Still, with as many as they manufactured, I'm not surprised that they had a few leaky ones. After all, we humans are incapable of creating absolute and consistent perfection. Nature dictates that imperfections arise in everything that we create sooner or later.

It's a joke, isn't it? What makes you so sure it was an incorrect advice? And, if your app doesn't work as it says, why it is banned to talk about it? What's bad on someone's opinions? @WellTell Many people come here for advice and information and we work hard to make sure what they find here is useful. When people post information it needs to be accurate. Posts that aren't, or that link to programs that we don't certify, or that have a very negative tone may get deleted. This is our forum, it's a bit like our public living room, and it's a service we put out for people that want to join us and learn in a friendly and collaborative way.

I'm assuming you just mean the least alerting thing. If so, then that would explain why I like them as much as I do even though they're too bright. It almost hurts my eyes in the same way that a bright Blacklight can. It's like a trick that's being played on my eyes. If I could reduce their brightness by maybe half or something, then they would be perfect. Except, I admit that I love flooding my room with red light before bed.
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you measure the red Westinghouse 1W lights?

Sorry for being pokey about posting the data. We are doing about four different tracks of dev right now, so sitting down to do something simple like measure stuff means finding bugs and adding new features, haha. But I have a pile on my desk waiting for me to measure them for posting. I've grabbed the most popular nightlights and nursery nightlights from Amazon.com as well. Any other lights you want to know about?

I guess the only light data I'm personally curious about are the Westinghouse brand 1W red LED lights and of course my FEIT red LEDs. Menards has both, well at least where I live.
Although probably hard to find, I'd love to see the spectrum analysis of the SWITCH 3-WAY frosted light, and of course I'd be interested in seeing it compared to Cree's Soft White LED lights and their Daylight LED lights. I have a feeling that the SWITCH 3-WAY lights have a fuller spectrum, based on what I experienced.
Take all the time that you need though.

Yep! Those are my beloved red LEDs. Sure, they might be fairly bright (I would equate them to a 40W or 60W incandescent), but they are fantastically non-alerting for me. I wish I could find the same quality of red LED in a super dim 0.5W or 1W version. I've seen lots of 0.5W and 1W red LEDs, but I don't know how good they are.
I have to laugh at the specs. It claims 3000K. They couldn't be more wrong if they had tried. 3000K is colder than a normal 2700K incandescent light. These FEIT lights are pure red. I'd say they're probably close 800K. When I use these lights and set f.lux to 800K, I really no longer notice how red my monitor is. It just looks dim and super comfortable to look at. If anything, it's not as quite as red as the LED light!

I guess there's a possibility I have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome, but I don't have a consistent schedule at all. I have to simply go to sleep when I need to, and wake up when I'm done sleeping. So, I'm never sure when I'll be going to sleep or waking up. The time that I go to sleep can be at anytime of the day or night, and the time I wake up can be roughly 6 hours later, 12 hours later, or even 18 hours later. When I go to sleep and wake up all depends on how I feel.
Yeah, you know, I've been wanting those measurements as well. I think it would be fun to know.
