Issues after the latest update V.10.11.3
-
@Thomas-Edington You may be new to the forum but the forum has become quite a popular place so go ahead and use the search function!
Something to do with "adjust automatic brightness" usually.
-
I never remember to use the search feature either and it's my forum. Which version of f.lux are you running? updating that might help too. Sorry you got this bug, we are working hard on finding a way to stop it.
-
I did use the search function before posting, have the newest f.lux (36.6 OSX) and disabled automatic brightness, sorry for not mentioning it. I realise those are important points. I waited five minutes & did a restart after disabling automatic brightness, problem persisted for roughly a day. Weirdly, now the issue doesn't seem to come up anymore. No updates or configuration changes since then that would explain the change in behaviour.

@lorna I am using the newest version, I just uninstalled and re-downloaded.
-
@herf It seems to right now, I will update if it starts acting up again. Thank you very much!
-
@lorna Yeah, rarely do I use the search either. I usually stay in the unread section.
-
@lorna I turned off automatic brightness and even reinstalled f.lux. Still flickers. I just shut off the program until I know it won't happen any more

If you're having trouble please also try 36.5:

My screen is also flickering on 36.6 running v10.11.3. automatic brightness is turned off and i have rebooted as well. Tried using 36.5 but still have the same issue.

@David-Miguel-Ferreira any chance you have a dual GPU machine?
