Hi Maroun - can you send us a (phone) screenshot to support at justgetflux.com?

Exact same issue here. It worked on Monterey 12.0.0, but then I updated to 12.0.1, and now it's a lovely green. See picture at https://imgur.com/a/vpY9af6. While I don't mind it, I don't think it's the intended benefits of F.lux.

I think I also need a color profile from one of these machines... maybe there's something new in there :)
plenty of these now thank you :)

Here's a way to do it:

            • Run "ColorSync Utility"
            • Go to Devices > Displays
            • Look for "Current Profile" and email this file to us

Before Monterey this would have worked:

            To find the active one:

System Preferences > Displays > Color > Open Profile...

Then drag the icon at the top to attach the ICC file to an email (support at justgetflux.com)

            thanks!

                Quick update:

Right now we think the effect is happening because channels are switched so RGB -> GBR. But we have to know if this is a software issue for all monitors or just for the internal one. It may be a sign that there is some additional calibration hardware in the new Macs, or it may just be a mistake in the OS.

One more question - does anyone have an external display plugged in? Does the "cyan" effect happen on all displays or only the Mini LED one?

Expecting actual hardware tomorrow...we will know more then. :)

@herf The green effect only happens on the MacBook display.
When mirrored the internal will be green and external will display with f.lux as expected.

Okay on Monterey 12.0 we are getting really well-dialed results with f.lux - reports are the cyan stuff is happening after 12.0.1 upgrade.

I assume Apple can roll this bug back. If it keeps up we might try to do a workaround.

@herf ah yes, now that you mention it, it was after the 12.0.1 update, so hopefully apple fixes it :( i miss using flux

I sent in a bugreporter/radar today, so we'll see. 12.1 just hit beta, so it's possible they have already gotten to it (but I haven't installed it yet).

I've posted a quick workaround here:

Longtime flux user, just upgraded to Macbook Pro (14 inch, running iOS 12.0.1). Flux is green! I will look at workaround, but wanted to let you know that it continues to be a problem. Thanks.

I love how my screen looks hacker when I turn on darkmode, but I don't think it's good for my eyes.
                                Same issue here. M1 osx
