Red artifacts for me, with the latest Intel driver from April (Surface Laptop 3).
Tried toggling both "use display data for better color" and "use GPU" options, with no effect.

      Intel Corporation 27.20.100.8187: Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics (20200417)

      Monitor 1 on Intel(R) Iris(R) Plus Graphics: VCGT=0 gamma=1

      Windows Build: 18363.778

Interestingly, this problem does not exist on my Surface Book 2:

      Intel Corporation 25.20.100.6472: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 (20181225)
      NVIDIA 26.21.14.3086: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (20190522)

For me, the artifacts only appear at temps 3250K and below. At 3300K and above, everything is fine.

I'm getting the blue artifacts as well on two different computers with dual-monitor setups. Unsure if it matters, but the artifacts only occur on the monitor on the right side. On one computer, it occurs on the primary monitor, and on another computer, it appears on the secondary monitor. It seems to occur on normal mode (without any effects) if and only if the red value of the pixel is 129, and it looks like the red value becomes 0, or maybe 1 or some other small value (it's hard to measure because obviously the computer thinks it's 129).

Interestingly enough, the artifacts do disappear after a while (maybe after sleeping and waking? will need to do some more experimentation) but they consistently come back after a restart.

Hope this information helps to get this bug fixed ASAP, it's been an annoyance for a while and I didn't realize that f.lux was causing it until now.

If your blue artifacts are the same as mine, they go away when the monitored is off after going to sleep. They stay away until the computer is rebooted.

You can manually use the monitor Off Utility https://download.cnet.com/Monitor-Off-Utility/3000-20432_4-10967806.html to have the monitors sleep and then move the mouse to bring the monitors back up. Another user above @fernandezcojones found that if you toggle Windows night light on and off they go away. That works for me too.

The developer @herf has said he believes the issue lies within using Insider Builds of Windows. I'm on a Windows Insider build.

@lamchcl Does you or anyone have these artifacts that is not on Windows Insider builds?

@lamchcl I agree about the frustration of the issue and finding it was tricky. I was actually buying and swapping out video cards trying to figure out what was causing it. Now it's just annoying, but at least there's workarounds. Hopefully someday either Microsoft and/or f.lux comes up with a fix. I'm tempted to do a clean install of Windows to see if it was actually tied to Insider builds, but that's a lot of work because I have a pretty complicated Windows setup and a lot of applications doing various things.

I'm also getting red artifacts only at temperatures 3250K and below on my Lenovo Yoga c940 (haven't tested external displays). When below 3250K, sometimes the artifacts appear/disappear.

When the artifacts are gone, sometimes when switching between applications the artifacts can reappear for a moment and then quickly disappear again. This doesn't happen when dragging a foreground window out of the way abruptly to reveal an image behind it. It only happens when I switch applications (e.g. Alt+Tab). Thought this might be a useful clue for the developers.

@apreslin Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't getting notifications for this thread for some reason.

I am indeed using Insider builds; I'm on the slow ring on one computer and the fast ring on the other. I don't have any other Windows computers with f.lux installed, so I can't test whether it's linked to Insider builds either. But if a lot of people with this problem are using Insider Builds, there's probably a link (since not that many people are Windows Insiders compared to the rest of the population).

I haven't restarted my computer in a while (should probably get around to doing that) but if the artifacts come back I'll test if the Night Light workaround has any effect. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just restarted my computer on the Fast Ring, and the blue artifacts are no longer showing up in v4.115 (thanks to https://forum.justgetflux.com/post/23190). Thanks @herf !

                        You're right.
I'm on 4.116 and I tried some things in f.lux
When activating Grayscale mode from effects, the blue artifacts appeared again for me - but now on the first monitor, not on the second one.

In combination with grayscale mode, it looks very very strange - because everything is gray - and then: blue spots ;)
But after removing grayscale mode, the also persist on the first screen..

Edit: Switching back from 116 to 115 directly fixed it again.
                        @dimanish can you try the 4.115? https://justgetflux.com/flux-setup4-115.exe

I have the exact same problem. I made a post about this earlier but everyone ignored it. Pink pixel banding and glitches, running on macbook pro 13'' 2020 with intel iris plus g7.

I wasn't experiencing this issue until yesterday when Flux automatically updated. Now I see the same artefacts, which are particularly obvious in videos or WebGL.

Downgrading to 4.115 fixes the issue for me.

                                    Its happening below 6400k.
I am also using a color profile that was generated by x-rite calibrator.

4.118 is installed, Windows 10 with the newest updates.

2x Dell S2719DGF via display port

So I'm not aware of any update to the app, though I have turned on beta testing, however tonight I'm getting no artefacts. No idea why.

Only settings I've changed recently was:

                                        • Turning off game background recording in nvidia experience
                                        • Changing power management mode from 'optimal power' to 'prefer maximum power'
                                        • Texture filtering to 'high performance'

This were done to assist with FS2020 so may be totally unrelated, but I have no artefact issues tonight.

@Benjamest Scrap that. Tonight it's fine on one monitor but not on the other.

I'm getting pink artefacts on brand new Lenovo Yoga laptop screen. Artefacts didn't show up until I installed f.lux. I've used f.lux for almost 10 years on other devices and never had this problem. Is there something about newer graphic cards and how they interact with f.lux that causes this problem? My other devices are at least 1-2 years old.
