Can't see flux anymore

I don't really know how to describe this problem... Flux is running all the time which means my screen is tinted even in day time which is super annoying but I can't access the programme, can't open it really. When I click on the icon nothing happens, when I try to open in via applications nothing happens. But when I try to desinstall it I am notified that I can't because Flux is running and open. I can't force it to stop via any method I know of. Btw I'm using a MacBook. Please help me so I can have my normal color back on day time!
