Still happening to me with 39.981. Updating made the dip slightly smaller, but f.lux is still showing as "sun has set" if I use my native location.

This should be fixed in the newer build - please download again at https://justgetflux.com/

Just installed the most recent build. Fixed it (I am at a relatively high latitude). Sent $5 your way as a thanks for many years of faithful service.

I had the same problem (my temporary workaround was to set latitude further south, to 64°, which seemed to work), but re-installing f.lux as suggested here seems to have fixed it (even though it said it was completely up-to-date when I checked for updates).

Okay we will take another look. My notes say that right after this "July" fix, we did another update to fix Singapore in August 2017, and the test said they both worked, but apparently it did not.

@herf I am having the same problem. I even tried to trash Flux and that did not work. i am told I have the latest version and no more updates are available. Very annoying as can hardly see the screen!

@herf Hi - ver 39.987 for Mac on High Sierra. Bug still there - same problem, dip in middle of day at 63.4N, 10E. :/

I think it is a discontinuity in the calculation that joins daytime-sunset-bedtime curves i.e. the effect is modulated by adjusting the 'sunset' temp in K).

The same bug still persists. :( When will this be fixed for good?

After a little experimenting, I can confirm this problem occurs for all latitudes above 58.9N. I.e., the curve is correct at 58.94 (which gets rounded down), but broken at 58.95 (which gets rounded up to 59N).

The workaround for me: Set my latitude to 58.94N. ;)

Edit: I just noticed this was reported for the Mac version, but it's not specific to that OS. I'm using the Windows version.
