Can't find settings menu

I upgraded my computer from 10.7 to 10.9.5.
Now is the settings menu disappeared in the menubar above.
What can I do?

Open activity monitor to see if f.lux is running. If so close it. Then drag f.lux from applications menu to the trash.
Empty trash. Reinstall f.lux

If f.lux is not running try restating and come back and post if it starts normally.

Thanks. Flux was running in activity monitor en I did a forced quit. Then a new install and it's working fine now...

Thanks SO much. For some reason the icon disappeared from my menubar, so I couldn't click on it to stop flux, so I could re-install. I tried for quite a while to find a solution. Yours was simple and quick. Thanks again.
