I just installed f.lux 4.42 on a Win 7 laptop and noticed that it causes desktop flutter on bootup. Disabling the flux.exe startup entry eliminates the flutter so I'm sure that f.lux is causing the flutter.

Since the fluttering occurs while my desktop is loading I don't see how I can do a video capture?

Do you have a mobile phone that can do it?

What exactly do you mean by "flutter"? Can you describe it? Is it a fast blinking?

I've experienced some fluttering and resolved my problem by disabling Night Light in the Settings app. (Windows 10: Creators Update)

I also experienced some problem with this f.lux current version (v4.42). My problem was: explorer.exe could not start at computer boot up. To solve my problem, I disabled f.lux automatic boot, from msconfig. So, now I manually start f.lux to use it.
