I think there's something hidden in these copycat spam posts that causes a positive hit on their spam if you Quote the post - which also generates even more spam.

There are lots of reasons, they are trying to get around automatic spam filters and avoid detection, so then they can sneak=attack post links back to where-ever. I think it's kind of funny to be having a conversation about a conversation posted by someone who doesn't exist, don't you?
