Colours are barely warm on low light settings

I just got a new computer (HP Envy 360), and of course one of the first things I did was to install f.lux, but although the colours change slightly when I turn it down to Ember, it's very subtle and the colours don't really warm up--white still pretty much looks white. On my other computer, when I turn it to Ember, any white space looks orange. Any idea why this is happening? Running Windows 10.

You have to reboot after installation and you have to allow it to expand the color range. Until you do, you won’t see any color temperatures warmer than 3400K even though you can still select the warmer color temperatures.

@TwoCables What do you mean by 'expand colour range'? I have 'Use wider slider ranges' checked, and I've already rebooted a few times.

I tried the trial version of Iris (similar program) and got the usual orange, not sure what the technical implications of that are. I would really like to get this working as I like f.lux better.

No that's not the same thing. When you install f.lux, it asks you if you want to expand the color range in Windows. The option to expand the color range should still be in the f.lux options, if I remember correctly.

@TwoCables Turns out it was a broken display driver and reinstalling the driver fixed it. Thanks!

Whoa! I didn't see that coming. :) I'm happy you figured it out. This is usually caused by not expanding the color range. Nice work!
