Hi, first of all, thanks a lot for f.lux, I've been using it for a couple of years and it really helped me with my night browsing habits.

What I noticed is that when f.lux disables the tint for a fullscreen app, the recovery after exiting is too long. For example - when I'm browsing youtube, the page is mainly white, so red tint is useful. When I play a video fullscreen, I like to view it without the tint (so I check the option to disable f.lux for fullscreen apps). When I go back to youtube it's paifully bright since f.lux takes about 10 seconds to gradually restore the tint, when I expect to see the previous tint level.

Could you add option to make the transition instantaneous for fullscreen apps (I like the slow transition in regular use)?

      Cheers,
      Paul

Right click flux from system tray then click Options and Smart Lighting. You can change the transition speed there.
        Here's a screenshot.

Hi, I know about this setting - as I said, I like the slow transition in everyday use, since the medium and fast options are too noticeable for me, so for now I prefer to bear with a glaring white screen for a few seconds when exiting a video.
Ideally, I would like to be able to have the fast transition only when going into and (especially) out of fullscreen mode.
          Thanks for the input!

Thanks for this note - we designed the timing for a totally different feature, and what you're saying makes sense.

The timing is designed for "disable by app" and people who alt-tab from Photoshop to email/chat and back a lot....so in that case going too fast would be not very good.

But in the case you're describing, going from a dark video to a white webpage, we should do better.
