macOS Tahoe 26.2 compatibility

Re: macOS Tahoe 26 notes
I just got a new MBP with Tahoe 26.2 and I can't get f.lux to work on it the way it worked on my 2019 MBP. On my 2019, the color profile in Settings>Displays is "f.lux profile," but that profile doesn't exist on my new MBP, even though I set it up with Migration Assistant and the same version of f.lux, 42.2, is on the new machine. The "Melanopic Light (vs. white)" on the new machine is different than on the old machine, even as they are sitting side by side. Old reads 67% while new reads 0% (plus an ambient light reading that doesn't exist on the old machine). I don't know if that's the issue or what. I'm not super literate about these things. Help! -
@DCRnash We did this on old dual-GPU macs from the 2012-2015 era. We found they would switch from discrete to integrated GPU and load the system colors, but not the f.lux ones.
On newer Apple Silicon macs, there is no switch (since there is just one GPU) and so we don't have to build a profile to keep things working. It's better in most cases for f.lux to be a "temporary" effect. But in case you somehow wanted the old behavior, it might still work with a pref - check out: https://justgetflux.com/news/2014/10/28/profile.html
