f.lux and spyder elite profiles

Hello,
I purchased a broken display M1 MacBook Air, and replaced the display myself - as you know, there is parts pairing involved with Apple's newer displays, and sadly, True Tone is not currently available, and out of the box, the display is very green/blue tinted.
I have a Datacolor Spyder X Elite and used it to calibrate the display/make it more red/purple, so whites once again look white. This is all fine and dandy, until I installed f.lux, which seems to want to revert back to the default colour profile.
As you can imagine, this is quite frustrating. I did some googling and came across this thread. I tried following the directions that was given to OP (typing in
defaults write org.herf.Flux disableProfile 1in the Terminal) but that has done nothing at all - as soon as I launch f.lux, the default display profile is again loaded.
Is there a way to force f.lux to use the Spyder profile? I am a bit at a loss as to what to do, besides going back to Night Shift.

@gtfhercules f.lux functions as a "VCGT" loader, so any part of the profile in this header will be loaded and preserved. If this is not working, could you please send it to email - support at justgetflux.com?
