F.Lux on extended displays

I have a larger LG monitor that splits into 4 screens basically. F.lux always works on the built in screen on the MacBook pro, but never on the extended displays. Even if I'm only using the LG monitor as a single display, I can never see any option to extend the dimming to the external display.
I looked under the display settings and when I select the external monitor and look under "Color Profile" I don't see an option for F.lux.

Do you know how they are connected? I think most macbooks can support 3 external displays but not 4. Does it work if it is shown all as one display?
