Phillips Hue update frequency [Win10]

Hi,

Is there a way to make f.lux update (or re-update) the Hue lights more frequently? The problem I am facing is this: when I leave my room and turn off the lights (fully, with an electrical switch), and then come back later and turn them back on, they turn on to full brightness/color - instead of the one that should be active based on the f.lux curve. It seems to kinda fix itself if the time is right and the colors are constantly changing on the curve (I imagine that on each color change, f.lux sends that change to the Hue Bridge). Ideally, I would like f.lux to periodically send the current light color to the Hue Bridge, regardless of whether there was a change or not. Is that possible?

Side-note: I know there is a setting in the Hue app itself that preserves the last color setting through power cycles, but I would rather not use that
