Flux not triggered at night unless I quit and restart it
-
Hi everyone
Love f.lux, I paid it multiple times over my life.
It's been some time (I don't know how much exactly) that my screen stays blue at night, unless I manually quit and relaunch f.lux
I'm on a M1 with Ventura
Any idea what can be the issue?
Thank you!

@fluxuser44 anything unique about the machine like multiple displays/etc.?
-
@herf Sorry for the late reply. Yes I'm using an extra display, connected via HDMI to a USB hub
-
@fluxuser44 if you only have one external display (with an Air/M1) or several (with a M1 Pro), it seems to work better if you can use a Thunderbolt 4 hub or a thunderbolt connector. (Not the same as USB even though they use the same connector.)

@herf thanks a ton for the reply! I'm not super excited at the idea of buying a hub just to get flux working... is there a way to test/troubleshoot?
-
@herf I do have a Macbook Pro with an M1 Max chip, and it used to work. It has started to go wrong a few weeks ago

@fluxuser44 okay I think we have a clue about this now - we made some changes to handle the new Ventura "fullscreen" mode and it may have broken Monterey.
Confirming you have Monterey and "disable for fullscreen apps" is turned on? Let me know if turning it off makes things work, and we will make sure the next update works again with Monterey.

@herf no I am on Ventura... still having the issue
sorry for late answer, i am not able to get notifications for when you answer (impossible to validate my email)

@fluxuser44 is "disable for fullscreen apps" turned off? That may be needed for now until we sort it out.

@herf it was disabled. I just enable it. Will it sort the issue?
