The blue light blocking at night is to protect the eyes from UV light at night time. So if i use the f.lux during the day, this should also protect my eyes from UV light during the day. I this correct? At the moment I am using the orange screen for 23 hours a day because I am not able to set it for 24 hours.

Blue light and UV are different - LED-backlit monitors do not produce any UV.

We design f.lux to work with daily rhythms, so if you have normal vision, you need some blue light during the day, and much less at night.
