      It would be cool if there was a setting to disable the menu bar icon in MacOS. I never use it.

        Some menu icons can’t be removed this way and a command drag won’t do anything. Usually these icons are their own applications, like Flux, DesktopUtility, DayO, etc, and instead need to be quit directly from the menu bar item itself.

          @edelstone I would appreciate this feature as well. Would much prefer Flux to live in notification center or control center on Big Sur.

            You may consider a menu bar manager, I'm using Bartender.
            On MacMenuBar.com there are a lot of menu bar managers.
            With this tools you can hide menu bar items.
            Usually these items are still accessible with a single click or keyboard shortcut.

            Bartender 3 is for macOS Catalina, Mojave, High Sierra and Sierra.
            Bartender 4 is for macOS Big Sur.
