I have a question about the “sunlight hours” on the f.lux preferences window. I assume that this indicates the length of the day today at my location, about 13 hours, which is what it says if I set my wake up time to 6:00 a.m. (current sunrise) However, if I set my wake-up time to 2:00 a.m., “sunlight hours” now decreases to 12 hours. How is that possible? Is f.lux adjusting my bedtime to before actual sunset so that I miss out on an hour of daylight at the end of the day?

Yes we thought it was interesting (especially in the winter), that sleep timing dictates how much time you can spend outside when the sun is up. For some people it gets very small in the winter, so we put it in there.
