Black screen on wake from sleep
-
Hi, first of all, brilliant idea and awesome product! Unfortunately I am having an issue waking from sleep -- which is that the screen is black and will not turn on, I have to power off (hold down power button) and restart. This has happened on 2 different Macs. One is Late 2011 Macbook Pro 15", AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024 MB graphics card, running Mavericks 10.9.5 Build 13F1112. The other is 2015 Macbook 12", Intel 5300 graphics, running Yosemite 10.10.5 Build 14F1021. The Macbook was plugged into an external monitor at the time via USB-C to HDMI, the monitor was not even detecting video output on the HDMI (did not wake up from standby). Tried unplugging/replugging cables etc. I have not had this issue on either machine and had on both with f.lux within 24 hrs of installing. I would love to be able to use f.lux and hope we can figure this out, thank you!

Interesting, there was a notification that Herf posted a reply, but there doesn't seem to be one.

That's because he deleted it. For some reason, they are experiencing a problem on their computer where their reply gets sent to the wrong thread even though they are in the right thread and aren't doing anything unusual on here.

same issue here, I had to deactivate flux because on every second waking from sleep the screen hanged and I had to reboot my macbook, very unfortunate

Please post your system information @karlpy. @carpevita what was the external monitor you were using? What programs do you usually have running (for example photoshop)?

We know about slowdowns on wake, but we'll do some more testing and maybe there is a workaround if we can get it happening here.
The issues we were seeing on 10.10.5 appear to have resolved somewhat in 10.11 (to be replaced by other problems entirely).

I have a 2015 27 inch Imac 5K retina. My computer does not wake from longer sleeps and I need to unplug the powercord to restart it. I have run a sysdiagnose and can supply it for quick analysis.
