Xiaomi smart bulb integration

As winter is coming, I'm again interested in pulling this project.
I have:
One xiaomi led bulb (here Im ready to splurge)
Samsung j5 phone.
Samsung s3 phone
Don't have router.Is it possible to have very basic light automation with above tools?
I don't fet why my phone can't be router for my bulbs.

@AtomekTomek I'm not really sure is that link works because after redirection i got an unwanted post there showing in another language... i can't understant..

Bumping this thread.
@herf is there any update to the post you made Feb 8, 2019? I just got some Yeelights (model YLDP06YL) and find they're uncomfortably blue when integrated with f.lux v4.111 recommended settings like @coendeurloo mentioned. The options available under Options and Smart Lighting > Connected Lighting > Lighting color (compared to screen) don't seem to have any effect.

I have f.lux and can someone help me how to connect this? I Have Lan option marked in yeelight app.
