Flux remains after uninstall
-
Hi I used flux for a while and in the end didn't get on with. I uninstalled it weeks ago and yet every evening the display will be dimmed.
I've tried the recommendation in the FAQ to uninstall and reinstall and set the default to 24 hours but this has not worked, in a similar vain to these two problems.

https://forum.justgetflux.com/topic/94/uninstalled-flux-screen-still-yellow-windows-7-helpI am using a surface pro 4, flux is not running in the task manager, have tried to set a default colour profile and this has not worked.
Please advise

Is it showing in Task Manager?

This is still an issue, are there any further steps to check?

Can you try "Calibrate display color" from Windows? Adding a permanent profile may help.
There is a problem with some video drivers that "remember" a temporary color profile and make it permanent, even when we reset it.

Will going through the calibration and keeping the settings the same change my default colour profile? I don't want to do any full on adjustment as the colour is only dimmed from 9 PM onwards.

Perhaps you are running something that is not f.lux then?

I can confirm to you that it is flux I have used, haven't used software like this before and this laptop has had no prior owners or users before me.
I store all my software downloads within my file explorer so I'm 100% certain.

just had a realisation, windows 10 has a night light mode that was enabled, took a while to realise but it finally came to me and that was it, thanks.
I guess being 100% certain isn't very reliable if there's something I've overlooked ;)
