It would be nice to not have pop-ups for upgrades come up randomly when typing a document/programming. At the very least please don't steal the focus so I don't keep typing only for the keyboard input to be interrupted by background program. A notification would be preferred. An option to disable automatic updates would achieve the desired result. I'll upgrade eventually but after this semester is over. It's a great app otherwise. Great work!

We are talking to the Sparkle team about this (they make our updater).
Notifiers are one option, but it is pretty easy to turn off entirely. Another option is to check for updates only at restart, but in some cases, we'd like to be able to fix issues before you install a new OS version, so for now we do a daily check.
