Fluxometer purple color question
What is the purple in the fluxometer? Is it UV or the color purple?
It's UV because of the shorter wavelength.
Purple is not a spectral color (it has too much red),
but indigo and violet are, and then below around 400nm you'd say it's UV. All of those will show up this way in f.luxometer but we should fade them out at the edges, really.
@herf cool, so just a hair past blue is more violet blue instead of regular blue! I had always wondered this as led bulbs have that half blue / violet spike and maybe that's part of what makes their strange tint, example GE's Align PM. I think the lack of aqua / cyan also plays a big role in the off blue/violet tint.
