GE says farewell to CFL

GE recently announced they were stopping CFL production in favor of LEDs. They posted a hilarious letter to CFLs on Facebook. Read the whole thing, it's worth it. It's pretty great to see a company that's been around for so long still having fun:
Dear CFL,
I find myself staring at the paper, not sure what to say. Maybe that’s the problem. Over the years, time has changed us, the light flickered, but we kept our issues in the dark.
You were on again, off again. It was fun and new at first, and I fell head over heels in love. And then it became comfortable – just you and me. Looking back, maybe we let ourselves get too comfortable...

@lorna Fluorescent lights SUCK! WOOOOH! Awesome, now maybe they'll go away in the next 7 years instead of 20.
Sorry, uh, what I mean to say is: MOST fluorescent lights. The Philips TL950 can stay!
