Is it still required to disable automatic brightness? El Capitan 10.11.2

I'm having the same issue as Adam. I have always used f.lux with El Capitan and have never had any issue, but then I installed 10.11.3 today, and the flickering started happening. Turning off the automatic brightness setting helped. iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)

Also your installed version of f.lux would be very helpful to know here.

@lorna @Les-Pozdena I am using a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), and after upgrading to OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.3 last night, I have been experiencing periodic flickering. I had never encountered this before on this notebook or on my iMac running El Capitan, as well. I use the automatic brightness feature, because it is enormously helpful for eye strain and changes in light environment. I am wondering if this bug has been fixed, or if it will be fixed soon, and if there is anything I can do to prevent this? - Yoni

Can you redownload and try with version 36.6 (live on the site)? We usually shine phone flashlights at the sensor to test it quickly.

@lorna I am now running version 36.6, and it is exhibiting the same behavior.
