I really like the orange glow that Flux gives me somewhere around dinner time.

In fact, I like it so much that I would like my mac to look like that all the time, even during daytime.

Is there a way to configure Flux so that it... well, DOESN'T flux? I know that the main point of Flux is that it changes over time based on your bed time, but in the end, I think I should be the boss of it and tell it how much glow I want at any point in time.

I think we'll all recommend you just run it regular in the daytime. Also if you have a laptop with a bright enough screen then take it outside and then use the orange settings.

Sorry, I don't understand your reply. What do you mean by "run it regular in the daytime". Do you mean running my mac without F.lux? If so, I think you misunderstood my post (or maybe I didn't express it clearly).

I actually WANT a bit of orange glow during the day, but not as much as say, what f.lux does just before bedtime. And I would like to have manual control over the amount of orange at any point in time, instead of F.lux deciding what is good for me. I'm surprised F.lux doesn't have such a manual override feature.

You can choose Expanded Daytime Settings in Options. https://justgetflux.com/news/pages/macquickstart/ has more info.

Sorry there have been several requests to use a REALLY low orange in the daytime--but your post isn't this.

If you want a bit of orange glow maybe just slide the daytime slider around the 4700K mark. That may be near what you are looking for.

I meant to run at 6500K (or I actually recommend 5800K as that is direct sunlight on a white object at noon) in the daytime.
